Programming is the art of giving instructions to a computer to perform specific tasks. Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) is a programming paradigm that organizes software design around data, or objects, rather than functions and logic.
The Four Pillars of OOP
Encapsulation - Bundling data and methods that operate on that data within a single unit (class), restricting direct access to some components.
Abstraction - Hiding complex implementation details and showing only the necessary features of an object.
Inheritance - A mechanism where a new class inherits properties and behaviors from an existing class.
Polymorphism - The ability of different objects to respond to the same method call in different ways.
Why OOP Matters
OOP helps developers create modular, reusable code that's easier to maintain and scale. It mirrors real-world relationships, making code more intuitive and organized.
